Every case is read by a human within 24 hours. Our team of experienced insurance professionals has spent decades inside insurance companies, so we know how claims are decided, and how to challenge them. Help in Punjabi, Hindi or English.

Prefer to do it yourself? The free route is the insurer's grievance officer, then IRDAI's Bima Bharosa (155255), then the Insurance Ombudsman. We'll explain it.

Common questions

My claim was rejected. What should I do?

Don't treat it as final. Write to the insurer's grievance officer with your reasons; IRDAI gives them 14 days to resolve it. If they still say no, or don't reply within a month, you can complain to the Insurance Ombudsman for free within one year. Send us the letter and we'll tell you within 24 hours if it's worth fighting.

The Ombudsman is free. Why use ClaimHaq?

You can do it yourself, and we'll explain how. People use us because we read your policy against IRDAI's rules, draft a complaint that answers the insurer's exact reason, track every deadline and prepare you for the hearing. Apart from ₹699 to start, you pay only if money comes back.

Can a health insurer reject a claim after 5 years?

Not for non-disclosure. After 60 months of continuous cover, including years on a policy you ported from, IRDAI's rules say a claim can't be rejected for non-disclosure or misrepresentation unless there was fraud.

Do I have to visit an office?

No. Most of the work happens on WhatsApp and by phone, in Punjabi, Hindi or English. Ombudsman hearings can be by video. You can visit our Chandigarh office if you prefer.

How do I know you're genuine?

We never ask for an OTP. The only payment before the insurer pays you is our ₹699 fee, after we take your case, and only to our company account. Check our numbers on the 'Is this really us?' page. Anyone asking for 'processing charges' to release a claim is a fraud.
